Build Your Future (Construction Trades Training Program)

Build Your Future is a construction trades program designed to support newcomers and refugees to secure employment in construction-related employment and apprenticeship trades through a multi-stakeholder, holistic program model. It will focus on newcomers and refugees with prior skilled and semi-skilled trades experience from their home country. Working closely with key industry partners, the ANC offers carpentry focused training relevant to the construction industry.

Length of the program: 18 Weeks 
Schedule: Offered every 4 months

  • Participants develop an employment action plan
  • Participants receive training in the construction trades
  • Participants gain valuable work experience and job search support
  • Program promotes the development of transferable skills and lifelong learning.
  • Participants obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency
  • Participants receive formal training and mentorship
