Request for Proposals: ESL-based ABE Level I Curriculum Development

With financial support from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Association for New Canadians is seeking an experienced Consultant to develop curriculum content for an ESL-based Level 1 ABE program. Most of the content will be derived from existing Department of Education documents, but will need to include pedagogical elements that will make the adult learning process more engaging and appealing for second or additional language learners.

The selected Consultant will have system-level expertise related to the development and facilitation of effective professional learning related to K-6 and provincial ABE programs.

The Consultant will prepare a draft submission no later than August 22, 2022, with a final document to be submitted no later than September 30, 2022. The ANC will review and accept proposals up to a total of $15,000 exclusive of taxes.

Proposals of interest shall include information/CV on previous experience as it relates to the project, an action plan with deliverable and timetables; as well as a breakdown of costs as it relates to the above noted deliverables. Proposals will be accepted by email in PDF format. Proposals (5 pages maximum) should be emailed to jbaker@ancnl.ca no later than Friday, June 10, 2022, 4:30 p.m. NST.
