Black Voices Collective looking for new members

A growing community needs strong voices.

The ANC’s Black Voices Collective – dedicated to improving the lives of Black Newfoundlanders and Labradorians – is looking for new members!

The Association for New Canadians, recognizing the ongoing challenges of anti-Black Racism, has formed a Black Community Programming division. The division’s activities will be guided partly by the suggestions from the Black Voices Collective (BVC) advisory committee.

In Canada, Black communities have different life experiences and backgrounds which contribute in many ways to the growth, diversity, and development of the country. Anti-Black and systemic racism make it more difficult for Black people to access resources.

We have current openings on the BVC advisory committee.

If you are interested in joining the conversation, please send no more than two paragraphs telling us why to BVC@ancnl.ca before December 1.
