Services for Francophones

The Fédération des francophones de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador (Federation of Francophones of Newfoundland and Labrador) is a non-profit organisation which defends and promotes the rights and interests of the francophone and Acadian community in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Fédération acts to assert the rights of the francophone minority. Its mission is to promote and support the development of the French-speaking community in Newfoundland and Labrador. This work is made possible through the concerted efforts of the province’s francophone associations in undertaking targeted lobbying and public consultation.

The Fédération des francophones de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador (FFTNL) and the Réseau Immigration Francophones de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador (RIF-TNL) have three main objectives:

  • to increase the number of French-speaking newcomers to Newfoundland and Labrador,
  • to promote the reception, integration and retention of newcomers to the province, and more specifically within its Francophone and Acadian communities, and
  • to increase the capacity and integration of Francophone and Acadian communities in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Member organisations of the RIF-TNL Advisory Committee are as follows:
