LIPs Stakeholder Session
March 12, 2013
The Association for New Canadians hosted a Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs) stakeholder session on 12 March 2013. Facilitated by Memorial University of Newfoundland’s Harris Centre, the session explored the interest in creating a LIP in St. John's.
Local Immigration Partnerships (or LIPs) are an inclusive way to coordinate all the services that new immigrants are likely to need. LIPs are coalitions at the regional, municipal, or neighbourhood level designed to improve the integration of newcomers, as well as to strengthen a community's ability to attract newcomers.
