The ANC would like to express our sincere thanks to the residents of Newfoundland and Labrador who have so generously contributed to our Private Sponsorship of Refugees Fund.
This fund has been established to support those who wish to sponsor a family member, friend or loved one, but who do not have the financial resources to do so. The fund will also be used to assist Co-Sponsors with their efforts to meet the demands of sponsorship. All funds in this trust go directly towards costs of sponsoring a refugee/refugee family in Newfoundland and Labrador.
As of June 24, 2016, community members have donated a total of $109,856 to our Private Sponsorship of Refugees Fund!
We are also pleased to announce that as of June 24, 2016, a total of $627,596 has been raised by community groups who have decided to go forward with private sponsorships!
If you would like more information on sponsoring a refugee or donating to our sponsorship fund, please contact Ken at email@example.com...

WAYS YOU CAN HELP
Become a Co-Sponsor
In 2014, the Association for New Canadians was designated as a Sponsorship Agreement Holder by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. This designation allows the organization to coordinate the private sponsorship of refugees to the province. As part of this Program, individuals and groups in the community (“Co-Sponsors”) are able to partner with the Association to help sponsor refugees overseas.
As a Co-Sponsor, individuals and groups commit to providing 6 to 12 months of financial support to the refugee(s), as well as day-to-day settlement support during their first year in Canada.
The ANC has numerous ways in which you can volunteer to support the settlement and integration of newcomers in Newfoundland and Labrador. For more information on volunteer opportunities with the ANC, please contact email@example.com.
The Association is welcoming any leads from the public regarding available housing for refugees arriving in the province. If you have an apartment or house that you would be willing to offer please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Association is welcoming any leads on potential interpreters to assist refugees as they navigate their new community while learning English. If you are interested in becoming an interpreter please email email@example.com.
All donations to the ANC’s Private Sponsorship of Refugees Fund are tax-deductible, and all funds raised will be used to support local efforts to privately sponsor refugees.
Donations can be made in-person at our Main Office located at 144 Military Road, via PayPal on the ANC's website at www.ancnl.ca, or by mail to:
